Penny Cook
Penny is a Chartered Tax Adviser and holds the Personal Financial Planning Certificate. She has thirty years experience gained in the profession and for a short time with HMRC. She was the partner heading the private client team of Menzies LLP and was previously with Grant Thornton. Penny left Menzies LLP to start her own specialist tax consultancy practice Aurora Tax Services Ltd in 2009.
In addition Penny regularly contributes to professional journals and BBC Online. She also lectures at conferences and seminars organised by IIR, LexisNexis and STEP and is a consultant editor for Simon's Taxes. Penny specialises in private client services to individuals, unincorporated businesses, trustees and executors advising on tax planning and related issues.
Penny lives in Surrey with her partner and although her daughter has now ‘flown’ and become a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser as well, she has three step children. Her interests include golf, travel, theatre, music and dancing.
