Julie Cameron
Julie is a freelance tax consultant specialising in tax enquiries and investigations. She started her career with the Inland Revenue where she worked for ten years before crossing the floor to join the tax profession.
She ran her own practice for ten years before joining PFK, where she qualified as a member of the CIOT. After to moving to Baker Tilly as an associate director she specialised in private client tax before returning to investigation work. Julie started her new practice in 2010.
She writes regularly for tax periodicals and has contributed to Tolleyonline, where she is a consultant editor. She enjoys lecturing on tax administration and investigation topics.
Julie is agent lead at her local Working Together group and a member of the CIOT's Management of Taxes Committee. In her spare time she enjoys theatre, opera, cinema and playing the bassoon.
